Whakatāne District Council is inviting experienced Main Contractors to register their interest in refurbishing the Whakatāne War Memorial Hall, a much-loved community facility in the Rex Morpeth Recreation Hub.

The project is committed and moving towards construction. It covers seismic strengthening, building envelope and weathertightness, building services, asbestos removal, accessibility upgrades, and internal refurbishment and fit-out. This is a straightforward first-stage Registration of Interest, and three to four contractors will be shortlisted to tender under an NZS 3910:2013 contract.
