Tenders are invited from suitably qualified contractors for the electrical compliance for all of Whakatane District Councils assets.

The scope of Contract covers;
a) Compliance testing of all electrical switchboards and electrical installations at properties, parks, ports, airport facilities and reserve assets.
b) Electrical testing – in service safety inspection and testing/tagging of electrical equipment AS/NZ 3760:2010.
c) Electrical thermal imaging – Inspection and detecting potential faults and hotspots in electrical distribution boards and mains meter rooms (as requested).

Council’s goal for this contract is to ensure that the electrical installations, fittings and electrical appliances forming part of those facilities are:
a) Safe and efficient to protect the health and safety of the Community.
b) Provide the Community with an acceptable level of service in respect of the utility services encompassed by this contract.
c) Ensure that the reliability of the services are maintained in a “fit for purpose” condition
d) Ensure that the compliance of the services system is in accordance with all Statutes, Acts, Regulations, Bylaws, Standards and Codes.
