Tenders are invited from suitably experienced civil construction, mechanical and electrical contractors for the works described in this document. The works are to upgrade the existing McAlister Street stormwater pumping station. Briefly the works includes:
• Supply and installation of a 3 x 1 m box culvert through the Whakatane River stopbank on the eastern side of the pumping station;
• Structural modifications to the inlet, pump bays and roof of the existing pumping station structure;
• Removal of the existing pumps and the supply and installation of 3 No. new submersible pumps into the modified pumping station structure (provisional item);
• Civil works required for the modifications to the existing pumping station structure and site to construct the works;
• Mechanical and electrical works.
