The Council invites proposals from interested parties (“Proposers”) to achieve a range of objectives for the Council’s solid waste services.
The intention of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for “the Council to procure solid waste services for the District. The services include:
Kerbside Refuse, Recycling and Green Waste collection;
Operation of the Whakatāne Transfer Station and the Murupara Transfer Station to maximise diversion of Waste from landfill;
Transportation of Residual Waste, Green Waste and Recyclables within the district and to Council nominated Facilities; and
Parks and Reserves Refuse Bins collection; and
Consolidation and transportation of Residual Waste to a Council nominated Facility.
The Collection Services are provided to predominantly urban Premises and Premises in some rural areas.
The disposal of Residual Waste does not form part of the Scope of Contract Works.
