Whangarei District Council are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to description of work
Project Description: Construction of Sports Complex Carparks – Construct Only Contract
This is a construct-only contract divided into four Separable Portions, covering the construction of sealed carparks at various sports complex locations across the Whangarei District.

The works primarily include:
• Earthworks: Cut and fill operations, basecourse construction, topsoiling, and grass seeding.
• Stormwater Drainage: Supply and installation of stormwater reticulation systems to support the carpark design.
• Pavement Works: Reuse (where applicable), supply, and placement of basecourse material; supply and construction of asphaltic concrete pavement; installation of road delineation, signage, and linemarking.

Separable Portions:
1. Mangahahia Sports Complex Carpark Firm portion – construction to commence immediately upon contract award.
The following portions are provisional items, subject to final detailed design confirmation and availability of funding:
2. Kensington Sports Complex Carpark (Provisional – deferred to FY27, subject to funding confirmation)
3. Ngunguru Sports Complex Carpark (Provisional)
4. Koropupu Sports Complex Carpark (Provisional)

Tenderers should note that only the Mangahahia portion is guaranteed at this stage, with the remaining portions potentially included, deferred, or excluded based on funding and design outcomes.
