Waitemata DHB. Front of House refurbishment to main hospital

Registration of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for refurbishment and delivery defects free of the front of house reception and lobby area of the main building at North Shore Hospital.

Scope of Work comprises the refurbishment of the reception and lobby areas and the pharmacy adjacent to the lobby, including:

Replacement of floor coverings -vinyl to lobby and carpet tile to pharmacy
New joinery consisting of reception counter and timber screen feature walls
Painting of all walls and doors within area
Minor ceiling alterations
Miscellaneous modification to existing fittings and fittings
New security cameras

The main reception and lobby to lifts and stairs must remain operational during the construction so staging of the works will be necessary and a significant amount of the work will be required to be done outside of normal working hours.

Key experience includes:
previous experience working in hospitals and being able to stage work; interfacing with the public and carry out works outside of normal business hours.

Indicative programme is to start on site - mid April with a ten week construction period.

SUBMISSIONS WILL BE EVALUATED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

i Previous and relevant experience working in a live hospital environment
ii Your proposed project personnel, in particular site manager and project manager. Evidence of their capability and capacity to deliver this project
iii Confirmation with copy of current relevant insurances
iv Full company contact details and structure including:
Ability to provide additional resource to meet project objectives
Outline your approach to Health and Safety processes on site
Referees of clients/consultants with whom you have worked on other hospital projects in the last five years.
