Nau mai, haere mai – Welcome to this opportunity to partner with Wellington City Council
Wellington City Council invites proposals from experienced, community-minded, and sustainability-focused cleaning providers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective cleaning services across our diverse property portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with Council to keep our city’s spaces clean, safe, and welcoming – supporting the vibrancy and wellbeing of our communities.
We are looking for providers who can consistently deliver reliable, high-quality cleaning services, demonstrate innovation, and align with Council’s broader outcomes, including operational excellence, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting vulnerable workers.
Our portfolio includes public toilets, sports pavilions, the waterfront, social housing, Wellington Zoo, corporate offices, libraries, community centres, large standalone sites, and more.
Facilities are grouped into three categories – you may tender for one, two, or all three groups:
Group 1: Public Toilets, Sports Pavilions, The Waterfront
Group 2: Social Housing, Wellington Zoo
Group 3: Corporate Offices, Libraries, Community Centres, Large Standalone Sites
Contract Term: Commences 1 July 2026 for 5 years, with an option to extend for a further 5 years.
