Wellington City Council (Council) is seeking information from the market on a potential site development opportunity. The old Johnsonville Library has been earmarked by Council for re-development for housing.
The site is at 3-5 Broderick Road and 116 Johnsonville Road. The overall site is approximately 1,800m2 in area. Under the Proposed District Plan, there is a height limit of 35 metres.
The Council’s Affordable Housing programme in the Housing Action Plan 2023-25 focuses on being prepared and open to maximizing opportunities for greater provision of affordable housing.
We are interested in whether there are developers who are interested in purchasing the site and entering into a development agreement with the Council to achieve key outcomes on the site.
