Akau Tangi / Evans Bay improvements
Wellington City Council are upgrading this scenic walking and biking route around Akau Tangi / Evans Bay, from Carlton Gore Road on Oriental Bay to Cobham Drive, with a two-way bike path and separate footpath along Evans Bay Parade.
The section between Carlton Gore Road and Little Karaka Bay is now in use and includes improvements to Ōmarukaikuru / Point Jerningham, with more space for people to enjoy.
Once complete, this part of Wellington's coast will be even more of a drawcard for visitors and recreation.
The Evans Bay Parade Cycleway Stage 1 Part 3 is currently finalising the Detailed Design and the Evans Bay Parade Cycleway Stage 2 has completed the Concept Phase and commencing the pre-design. This open RFT is for Stage 1 Part 3.
A supplier briefing will be held on Monday 21 November - interested contractors should email the point of contact to register for this briefing by midday 18 November.
