Overview

Wellington City Council (WCC) is a local government authority which is committed to reducing, and where possible, removing the risk of harm to its workers and the public.
Our workers are our employees, contractors and volunteer workers.

To help us meet this commitment, we rely on a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management Solution, which is used to manage, record and report on events. Our existing Solution has been in WCC since 2011 and a decision has been made to replace it with a more modern, flexible solution that will be able to evolve and adapt to WCC’s needs as New Zealand’s health and safety landscape changes.

In mid to late January 2022, WCC intends to release an RFP to the open market via GETS, aiming to select the right supplier to work closely with us to provide, establish, manage, and support a fit-for-purpose Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management Solution; with the goal of delivering a solution that is available for us to use by 1 October 2022.

We are seeking a ‘standalone’ Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management Solution that will be configured based on an already existing product (i.e. that does not require building) that can meet our business, technical and support requirements including those related to availability, performance, security, segregation, resilience and recovery requirements without complicated or extensive configuration; and will be easy to use and intuitive.

We are seeking this solution to be delivered via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model and expect that the solution will be reliable, resilient, secure, and managed and supported by a skilled, focused and well-resourced team to meet the service levels and KPIs that we require; and that the successful supplier will be able to provide us with confidence that the solution will deliver a level of increasing value over its lifetime through planned improvements and future investment in development.

We are also seeking a Supplier who can provide online support and training materials to enable our users to get the most out of the solution, as well as allow both WCC’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, supported by our Smart Council ICT team to resolve issues in-house.
We also expect the solution to be affordable such that it is within our available budget, but also represents the best value to us.

If you have any questions or queries that you believe may help you decide whether or not this opportunity is suitable, please email the point of contact in the attached FPO.
