Overview

Wellington City Council provides Parking and Enforcement Services across Wellington City and surrounding suburbs. Our operating system is Pay by Space and each bay is monitored by in-ground parking sensors. We currently have approx. 3600 parks in the CBD that we enforce on a daily basis and enforce parking restrictions in surrounding suburbs on a regular rotating basis. We also monitor and enforce bus lanes, broken yellow lines, clearways, etc and administer a resident permit scheme.
Our current equipment which is utlised by Parking Officers is heading towards the end of its useful life.

We are interested to hear from Vendors that either has updated equipment as outlined above or have other solutions that will allow for the efficient, effective and safe delivery of the Parking Service activity in Wellington City and surrounding suburbs.

Whether that be multiple pieces of equipment that all integrate with each other, or some pieces of equipment that will manage some or all of the functions that we require. We want to understand what the market has to offer prior to commencing an RFP/RFT process.
The sole purpose of this request for information is to inform Parking Services of the strategy to take in relation to the capability, capacity, and interest of the market in relation to various equipment options and delivery of service and maintenance contracts available.
