The facilities maintenance (FM) contract for the Wellington City Council (WCC) expires on 30 June 2020 and WCC is undertaking planning to allow for the Council to tender this opportunity to the FM market.
The Project Management (PM) resource will, through the application of robust and practical project management principles, oversee the delivery of a new FM contract through the various stages of PM services deployment including project planning, procurement, transition, implementation and handover to WCC.
The FM contract is a significant service contract for WCC and it is imperative that WCC undertake the appropriate due diligence on its requirements and anticipated future needs to fully inform the market as to the scope and scale of the anticipated FM contracted services.
The facilities management contract impacts a number of key stakeholders across Council including:
• Parks, Sports and Recreation
• external stakeholders, including tenants in Council accommodation.
This ROI is the first step in a two-step procurement process. The objective is to select a shortlist of Respondents to proceed to the second step in the process. In the second step, only the shortlisted Respondents may be invited to submit a detailed proposal in response to further information to be provided.
Project Management organisations with direct experience in assisting a Client through the various stages for procurement and subsequent engagement of the FM contractor are encouraged to submit a proposal for this ROI opportunity.
