Wellington City Council (the Council) has substantial and sustained programmes of work defined under the Long Term Plan and Annual Plans (see Council Plans and Reports ). Within Council, the associated business units will in turn deliver these programmes as part of their objectives.
What’s important to us;
The objectives of the Register include, but are not limited to:
• Identification of suppliers according to their specialised areas of practice and value;
• Facilitation of supplier selection for direct appointment or closed tender;
• Fair and transparent management of supplier performance;
• Delivery of improved outcomes for the Council;
• Streamlining processes and costs in providing value for money work; and
• Achieving compliance with applicable laws, standards, codes and policies.
All Council Business Units will have the ability to use the Supplier Register to identify and then interact with those registered suppliers to deliver specific services for their particular project.
The Register will comprise of three main components, with each component made up of different categories. The components are:
• Technical Consultants Register;
• Main Contractors Register (split into roading and non-roading); and
• Trade Work Contractors Register.
The attached Standing Notice details the Councils requirements, qualification criteria, standard conditions for the invitation to qualify and the link to the online survey form
Attachment 1 details the underlying categories and the individual task specialisations that you will nominate as your capability to deliver to complete as part of your registration.
Attachment 2 details those examples of hazards that the council would require any future work proposal to address
The Council’s expectation is that the Register will contain credible suppliers with the capability and capacity to deliver those identified services and to a standard that should be expected from a competent and qualified supplier for the benefit of Wellington Ratepayers and the Council.
Additional detail as to the registration process, full list of the register task specialisations and supporting documents are attached to this standing notice.
This Standing Notice is an invitation to apply for inclusion on the Council’s Register and for you to select the task specialisations that match your capability to deliver.
