Wellington City Council is responsible for activities, services and works that touch every single resident’s lives. This includes delivering high-quality, resilient infrastructure and community services, libraries, recreation and arts facilities, maintaining the city’s parks and reserves and ensuring Wellington has a year-round programme of exciting entertainment and events.
In providing the above services, Council has a number of workers who work alone, remotely, and/or are subject to personal confrontation during the course of their work.
It is important to us that we have a system in place whereby workers can easily and quickly call for help and get assistance promptly when required, and Council have assurance we are taking steps to manage risk of harm to our workers.
Council would also like to identify opportunities for welfare checks for workers locking up facilities at night, while on patrol in the evening, or workers who have had personal threats made against them that could be carried out after hours.
Please note that in relation to Addendum 1 and 2 issued last week this RFI submission will close this Friday the 4th November at 12:00pm. This GETS RFX has been loaded again as the original is closed on the system, and the RFI cannot be accessed.
