Overview

Waikato Regional Council (Council) invites tenders for Vrsaljkos Stop Bank Upgrade

This tender is for rehabilitation of a 1,800m section of stopbank located at Kelly Road, approximately 8km east of Te Kauwhata township.

Scope of works includes:
• Set-out survey;
• Construction of any temporary works including access across existing drain.
• Strip and stockpile topsoil and overburden materials from the borrow area;
• Strip and windrow topsoil from existing stopbank;
• Load and cart clay fill material from two locations to the stopbank: local borrow area will provide approximately 2500m3; the remaining fill quantity, to make up approximately 12,500m3, will be need to be sourced from an external quarry. Total estimated fill quantity is 12,500m3. Estimated length of stopbank to be rehabilitated is approximately 1,800m. Haulage of material on public roads from external source is required;
• Shape and compact the material placed on the stopbank to design profile and specifications. Includes reshaping the existing stopbank and creating access track along stop bank crest for 1400m;
• Re-spread topsoil on the finished stopbank;
• Re-spread stockpiled overburden and topsoil layers on the finished borrow area;
• Remove any temporary works;
• Reinstatement of the site including access roads.


Tenderers shall be aware that this tender will be evaluated in accordance with the Weighted Attribute Method. This contract is a Measure and Value contract and the Conditions of Contract are the Conditions of Contract for Building and Civil Engineering Construction NZS3910:2003, as modified by Special Conditions.
