The Waikato Regional Council (the Council) contracts pest animal control operations through its Priority Possum Control and HALO programs.
The Council is wanting to hear from preapproved contractors who are interested in the opportunity to undertake performance-based pest control for the following areas between 2026/2027 and 2028/2029

- OMR, Hope Bush
- OMR, Johnstone’s Block
- Te Miro Reserve
- Pukemako Reserve
- Tirohanga Road

The RFP is part of a multi-step procurement process

By successfully completing pest animal control contracts for the council, contractors will be making a contribution to the protection and enhancement of biodiversity, catchment integrity and production values within the region.
