Overview

Waikato Regional Council (WRC) is looking for providers who have the capability, experience to engage with landowners, trusts, local government etc. They need to have a good track record of engagement with iwi and delivering reports summarising their findings. It is expected that the provider will have effective networks and strong relationships within the Waikato region.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an initiative that will explore how WRC can support biodiversity restoration on multiple Māori owned land. Anecdotal feedback is that current funding models do not support owners of multiple owned land to undertake restoration in a way that the owners would like. This project will be a way to explore innovative ways to support these landowners in a way that works for them.

Proposals close at 5:00pm Wednesday, 13 August 2025 and must be submitted electronically via GETS.
