The Waikato Regional Council (the Council) currently contracts one pest animal monitoring contractor to undertake a monitoring programme in the Waikato region to support the Council’s pest animal control contracts. The pest animal monitoring contractor is responsible for undertaking independent monitoring of pest control operations to ensure that required performance standards are being met.

This is an opportunity for a preapproved pest animal monitoring contractor(s) to become a Councils provider(s) for pest animal monitoring for the three-year period beyond 1 July 2025. The council operates performance-based pest animal control contracts, so requires a highly competent and experienced pest animal monitoring contractor(s) to delivery accurate, timely and protocol compliant monitoring results.
