Overview

Waikato Regional Council (Council) invites tenders for Churchill East Pump Station Construction. The Churchill East (Holmes) pumpstation is the main drainage outlet for the Churchill East drainage area in Rangariri and was constructed by the Former Waikato County Council in 1965. It provides drainage and flood protection to approximately 1,480Ha of productive farmland. This Tender is for the construction of the refurbished pump station located on Churchill East Road, Rangariri. The pump station is being modified to house two enclosed Archimedes screw pumps.

This project is largely funded by MBIE as part of the COVID19 economic recovery “Shovel Ready” stimulus. The funding is a special measure initiated by MBIE aimed to stimulate the economy and provide opportunity to develop a skilled workforce in the area where it is granted.

Council is looking for credible contractors who have the capacity, capability, experience and resources to deliver this project on time and within budget. They need to have a good track record on health and safety and environmental management.

This is an opportunity to be part of Council’s upgrade of its flood protection assets, which are vital to protecting our Waikato communities.

Tenders close at 5pm on Thursday 15 June 2023 and must be submitted electronically via GETS.
