Waikato Regional Council (Council) invites tenders for Hauraki Pumpstation Inlet Upgrades (Shovel Ready) – Mill Road No 1 & No 2 and Roger Harris Pumpstations.
This Tender is for the upgrade of two pumpstation inlet structures over one construction seasons to improve equipment access to screens for weed clearance, and health and safety upgrades. Mill Road No 1 and No 2 pumpstations are located at the end of Mill Road, Paeroa and are programmed for the 2021/22 construction season.
The pumpstations are programmed for inlet bay upgrades to address the following issues:
• Health and safety improvements to reduce operator risk (walkways, handrails, lighting);
• Sump corrosion below water level (Mill Road No 2);
• General remediation of crib walls; and
• Provide access to weed clearing equipment to improve effectiveness during operation.
This project is receiving funding from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) as part of the COVID19 economic recovery “Shovel Ready” stimulus.
