The Risk and Assurance Committee Terms of Reference provides for two external appointees to the committee, one of whom is to be the Committee Chair. This Expression of Interest seeks responses in relation to the Committee Chair role.
The objective of the committee is to promote and enhance the effectiveness of the Council’s audit processes and to strengthen the monitoring of the Council’s risk, control and compliance framework.
To achieve these objectives, it is expected that the external appointee will have a proven track record in governance roles in medium to large organisations with public accountability requirements and to have specific financial and audit/risk expertise.
To determine the appointment of members to this committee we are seeking a professional services relationship with suitably qualified individuals.
