The Waikato Regional Council (the Council) is seeking suitably qualified land management inspectors for the opportunity to become preferred suppliers to provide technical and field assessments of soil conservation areas on individual properties in the Upper Waikato, as part of the historic Catchment Management Schemes. Land management inspectors carry out the following tasks:
• Inspection of existing soil conservation work on properties
• Inspection of maintenance works
• Liaison with landowners and Council staff regarding non-compliant areas and required maintenance works
• Provision of property specific reports
We are seeking land management inspectors who have a strong conservation and land management background, are people oriented and have the ability to connect with landowners and rural communities on the importance of catchment management schemes. A minimum of two inspectors will be appointed as preferred suppliers.
The Request for Proposals document explains what we require, our evaluation process and the information we are seeking from contractors. A Response Form is provided for contractors to complete.
