This project will review the structure, operation and performance of the Waikato innovation system and recommend to the Waikato Means Business Steering Group a small number of specific actions that would have the greatest impact on strengthening the Waikato innovation system. It should identify who should take the recommended actions, the rationale for their involvement and what additional actions or resources would be needed for implementation, if applicable. This project acknowledges that the Waikato innovation system includes both organisations and people. This project will complement a project scoping the role, function and operational arrangement that may be required to enhance the Waikato’s economic development capacity and capability.
