Overview

We are procuring a Contractor to undertake pavement rehabilitation and associated works across the identified site, including (as applicable) pavement layer removal and replacement, localised undercutting, drainage improvements/culvert works, surfacing, road marking, reinstatement, and as-built/RAMM deliverables.

Separately, the Contract also includes ancillary temporary bypass works associated with planned KiwiRail asset upgrade activities within the project area. These works include survey and set out, earthworks, temporary gravel pavement construction, maintenance, traffic management, and reinstatement associated with a temporary daytime-only bypass route intended to facilitate traffic movements during the rail upgrade works. The bypass works are expected to operate for a maximum duration of approximately 2 weeks day time operation only and shall be treated as a separate component of the Contract and Schedule of Quantities. The contractor may or may not wish to use the bypass to allow construction of sealed section between SH1 and the rail crossing.
