Overview

Wairoa District Council (WDC) has resolved to establish and operate a new Animal Control and Council Operational Services Facility at a site within 5 km of the Wairoa Township. The proposed facility is necessary to enable Council to meet its statutory responsibilities under the Dog Control Act 1996, the Animal Welfare Act 1999 and associated Codes of Welfare.
