Waipa District Council (WDC) is seeking Registrations of Interest and Ability (RoIA) statements from civil engineering (road construction) contractors that wish to be considered for short-listing to tender the contract works described herein. A maximum of three (3) Contractors will be short-listed as a result of this RoIA phase. WDC wants a contractor that will establish a best for project working relationship between Principal, Engineer and Contractor with all parties taking ownership for the project and working together constructively to resolve problems.
The opportunity is to upgrade approximately 500m of major arterial transport corridor within Cambridge, to a safe, high quality urbanised transport route catering for off-road cycling, pedestrian paths, public transport, and general traffic. This will involve a complete rebuild of much of the surface and pavement infrastructure on this section of road, including all new drainage and the provision of a signalised raised safety platform pedestrian crossing on Cambridge Road.
