The University of Waikato wishes to refurbish a portion of E Block, Level 1 on the Hamilton Campus. This 1960’s building will undergo a refresh by converting a mixture of seven staff offices and teaching spaces into three spaces and refreshing the corridor. Included will be the installation of air-conditioning into these spaces.

The Procurement Lead wishes to appoint a main contractor who can undertake the design and build requirements to the specification and scope outlined in this document and can ensure that all the highest levels of health and safety are maintained. The Procurement Lead will provide leadership and coordination at a project director level.

With anticipated long lead times for HVAC equipment, the project will be split into three stages. Stage one and two will include the refurbishment of the spaces making allowances for the future installation of the air-conditioning plant later stage. Stage three will be the final air-conditioning plant installation and commissioning.
