The UoW seek to engage with the market in a two‐part procurement process to be able to select a suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractor for the purpose of construction. The first part of the procurement process starts with this expressions of interest (EOI) that will enable initial assessment and shortlisting.Thereafter, Part 2, will be a Request for Tender (RFT) process to the shortlisted participants.
The following are the main project building features:
A two‐storey building with a structural steel primary frame and predominantly lightweight claddings accommodating practical workshops, concrete testing facilities, and capstone project spaces.
A connecting Atrium interfacing with the existing Large‐Scale Laboratories building. Design will include for future circulation at both levels.
A mezzanine floor area accommodating student break out space.
A separate capstone project storage facility to the rear of the existing Large‐Scale Laboratories building.
External modifications to hard landscaping including the formation of a new access road and small gardens.
