The University was seeking to engage a qualified, experienced and capable supplier to provide residential relocation services for relocating personnel to Otago University campuses (domestically or internationally).
There was an opportunity to join a syndicated agreement with the incumbent supplier at the University, and this was taken.
Exemption reasons:
14.9.g Exceptionally Advantageous condition
- The cost of a procurement process is likely to be disproportionate to the value or benefits likely to be gained.
- The goods or services can be obtained via a syndicated procurement or contract privity opportunity clause that provides a commercial benefit to the University and avoids further cost of procurement.
14.9.c Only One Supplier
- The goods or services require specialised skills or are very complex, and there are limited qualified suppliers.
