This procurement is related to the engagement of a Consultant Project Manager who will be responsible for the day to day management and delivery of the project, in conjunction with the Campus Development Project Manager.
The Arana and Studholme Compliance Projects involve the design and implementation of seismic and fire safety compliance upgrades. This type of work within existing buildings which are in many cases very old, is inherently risky. While significant due diligence has been undertaken through review of historic documentation, and site investigations etc, due to the nature of the work required and the age of the buildings the full scope of work will not be clear until work commences on site. The work can be very complex and requires a Project Manager that is very experienced in this specific type of work in order to reduce the risk in both time and cost to the University.
