Overview

University of Otago currently maintains two separate DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management) platforms built upon a mixture of bespoke applications, ISC BIND/DHCP and Cisco Prime Network Registrar. The end of life for the Cisco platform means there is now an opportunity to refresh the existing platform and implement a solution that will support the University for the future. The University would like to transition to a new DDI platform and partner with an organisation that will support the deployment and migration.

This RFI relates to the identification of a platform that can provide DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management (DDI) services to the University. The key outcomes that we want to achieve are identifying alternative DDI. Platforms for further consideration and understanding the expected costs associated with purchase, migration and implementation.

This RFI is the first step in a multi-step procurement process. The next step for this procurement is likely to be an RFP, we would like to encourage all interested partners take this opportunity to showcase their abilities to ensure they are included in any future consideration.
