Overview

This RFI is issued by Upper Hutt City Council, referred to below as “UHCC” or “The Council” or “the Buyer” or “we” or “us”.
The Council’s Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) services are provided under a services contract. The principal service provider is Silicon Systems Limited. This 5-year contract is ending on 30 June 2026.
Due to this, Upper Hutt City Council is seeking to assess the market for comprehensive ICT services to support its operational requirements.
This Request for Information (RFI) is designed to gather market intelligence and understand the pricing and costs of the required ICT Services to form a business case and procurement approach.
What we need
UHCC is looking at options for a single service provider to provide ICT services for UHCC’s desktop, systems and network, including support and maintenance services. Also, from time to time, technical resourcing may be required for project work under a statement of work.

The primary objectives of this RFI are to:
1. Assess the current ICT services market and services availability
2. Identify qualified ICT service providers with relevant capabilities and experience
3. Understand service delivery models
4. Understand pricing structures and budgets needed
5. Evaluate innovative solutions and emerging technologies
6. Inform the Council as to the development of the future procurement process for contracting ICT services
7. All services, as a result of any future procurement process, will be required to be delivered and operational by 1 July 2026.
