Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi would like to invite you to submit a Proposal for Programme Development Services to develop Needs Analysis, Qualification Development, Programme and Resource Development for a Certificate programme in Native Nurseries.
The objective is to provide a qualification at certificate level for our students to enable them to work in the Nursery/Forestry industry. Currently there is a lack of Māori representation across all aspects of primary industry.
The current Government has launched a $1 billion per annum Provincial Growth Fund for development in the regions. One of the commitments is to plant 1 billion trees over 10 years.
Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi will be looking to upskill students to gain employment in Nurseries/Forestry with nurseries looking to expand their current workforce.
