TVNZ is considering replacing the existing Video Servers linked into TVNZ’s Vizrt Viz One MAM (Media Asset Management system). The Video Servers are used for live video ingest and replay. We want to understand the market for Video Servers that are 100% compatible with the existing MAM. We would like to learn about Video Servers that have a production capability with the ability to handle fast turnaround for items (such as live sport), as well as the ability to exchange material with our Avid Post editing environment.
TVNZ has issued this RFI (Market Research) document in order to understand what cost-effective Video Server solutions exist which may help TVNZ in realising its objectives.
As this is a market research exercise we do not seek proposals or quotes for supply.
TVNZ may or may not choose to conduct a subsequent procurement process in order to find a suitable and cost-effective replacement Video Server solution.
