The Buyer is seeking a perimeter security solution to replace the Checkpoint based solution currently in place.
The primary goal is to safely transition to a new solution ahead of the current hardware End of Life date of December 2025.
The secondary goals are to;
• reduce technical debt that exists within the existing environment
• optimise cost management related to perimeter security.
• Understand roadmap opportunities for potential integration of the web access protection solution at a later date (Implementation of a web access protection solution is out of scope for this RFP)
The Buyer is looking for a capable and experienced vendor to provide technical proposals and estimates for perimeter security solutions. This includes professional services to assist with the plan, design, build, migrate, and support of a perimeter security solution. The provider must have a proven record of supporting similar solutions and be able to offer ongoing support.
The respondents may propose any suitable solution as part of the proposal and may, additionally, choose to include alternative approaches as part of their proposal.
We require:
a) Vendor and hardware selection to be based on proven capability and a solid record of security within the industry (e.g. low number of exposed critical vulnerabilities and/or effective resolution of issues and vulnerabilities).
b) The provider to demonstrate that they have the capability and capacity to meet the project and ongoing objectives within the required timeframes.
c) A long-term support model (CSS I&T will manage day-to-day support, it is envisaged that the supplier will be engaged for ad hoc activities only)
d) A low-risk approach with demonstrated milestones.
e) Preferably an opportunity to see a demonstration of solution as part of the RFP process.
