This Notice of Information is to notify potential suppliers of the opportunity to tender for the build component of the fit out of the new premises for the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission, Te Waihanga.

A new independent infrastructure body, the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission, Te Waihanga (“The Commission”), is being established to ensure that New Zealand gets the quality infrastructure investment needed to improve our long-term economic performance and social wellbeing. The Commission will be set up as an Autonomous Crown Entity (ACE), and it is expected that independent accommodation should be ready for occupation in December 2019.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued shortly and invites suppliers to bid for the build component of the fit out for the Commission’s new office space at the Todd Building, 95 Customhouse Quay, in Wellington. It is a critical component for the delivery of this project that responding suppliers can meet the timelines noted below.

The Commission has engaged Workspace Architects to provide the interior design and associated project management services for the Commission’s new office space and the successful respondent will be required to work closely with Workspace Architects to ensure all works are completed within the timelines required.

The project is a medium level detailed fit out of a single floor of the Todd Building. Suppliers will be provided with a pricing documentation on 29th October and tenders will close on Tuesday, 12th November with a start date on site expected 18th November.

The project will be completed in two stages; a fast tracked set up of an area for ten people; and the heaving building prior to 15th December 2019. A small team will start working from this new office in late December. Finishing trades will be completed in January 2020.
