RealMe was created by the Department of Internal Affairs to build trust and confidence in the online channel and to enable more services to be delivered end-to-end digitally. It addresses three fundamental problems with how public services are experienced and delivered in the digital environment – security, privacy and trust. RealMe brokers the exchange of personal information between individual customers and participating organisations. It does this in a consent-based and privacy-protecting way, enabling customers to easily access government services and share personal verified (and in the future non-verified) information online, enabling better customer experiences.
Treasury is commissioning a review of the RealMe operating model to identify opportunities for partnership with the private sector to:
• incentivise the various players to drive uptake, innovate, and better meet the needs of citizens and agencies, and
• consider ways to share market and technology risk with the private sector, and potential divestment options.
To undertake this work Treasury is seeking two positions;
1. a lead reviewer who will lead and oversee the review process, lead the enagement with stakeholders and present findings in an options paper.
2. a review support who will take direction and provide support to the lead reviewer , provide research and analysis and assist with the options paper.
These positions are not co-dependent of each other; they will have separate contracts for services attached to each position. We are seeking submissions from suppliers for one or both of the positions advertised. We will be looking to fill each position separately and will not necessarily be using one supplier across both positions.
