The opportunity
Taranaki Regional Council Main offices are situated in Stratford, Taranaki. The site is home to for the past two and half years Taranaki Regional Council has been completing many upgrades onsite at its Stratford location, and one of these upgrades is building a new 1400sqm office building. We are also now looking at refurbishing the Administration Building, which has previously been an old dairy factory. These projects, The refurb and the new building are paramount to TRC creating a modern, flexible and welcoming space for all staff that reflects functionality, sustainability and staff wellbeing, and we are looking for a supplier who we can work with to provide our staff with the opportunity to feel comfortable and happy within our spaces.
What we need
TRC are seeking a supplier who can deliver furniture that can provide a balance between functionality, durability and comfort for our staff. We are looking for a supplier who can demonstrate to us design and the ability to deliver on time. We are looking for furniture that has an industrial/wood feel that ensures that our workplaces are fully equipped to service both staff and visitors well into TRC future.
What we don’t want
TRC staff are a mix of field based and corporate staff, so we do not want hard or uncomfortable seating. We require seating that is lightweight and easy to move around if needed. It must also be hard wearing and must suit field staff who come in from the mountains to the ocean. We do not want designs that do not align with the industrial feel that we are looking at which is wood, clean lines and black framing. Generic catalogue pieces without attention to comfort or quality will not be considered. Also, furniture that cannot be delivered and installed by March 2026 is outside scope.
