Transpower provides the network of transformers for suppliers to offer electricity to all of New Zealand. We are seeking to appoint a Supplier of power transformers onto our small panel of Suppliers who participate in the provision of transformers nationwide.

What is important to us:

Transpower is looking for credible suppliers who have the capacity, technical experience and infrastructure to deliver transformers to meet New Zealand’s specific needs. You must have a good track record in the development and provision of quality power transformers in an international client setting with strong client relationships.

Why should you bid:

Transpower operates a Power Transformer panel, with a small number of supplier positions. One of the positions is about to expire and the opportunity to fill the supplier position offers opportunities, as tendering for the future work is offered to the panel supplier only.

Running concurrently to this process is a separate procurement where a supplier is in a process and at the Trial stage. They must complete the final steps as detailed in the ‘Overview of the procurement process’
before a determination can be made of their status to join the panel too. Whether we award this supplier a panel position or not will have no impact on the opportunity you have to bid for a panel contract position through this procurement process.
