The contract will be executed as a Measure and Value contract agreement and shall cover all works required for the full installation of DN355 PN12.5 PE100 watermain pipelines using either trenchless technology (pipe bursting) or open cut methods. In addition, the works include open cut and sleeving DN250 PN12.5 PE100 polyethylene pipe within sections of existing DN300 PVC and asbestos cement (AC) pipelines. The scope comprises, but is not limited to, all associated labour, materials, equipment, testing, commissioning, and other necessary works to deliver a fully operational and compliant watermain system. The public shall not be excluded from the site.
1. Site establishment and traffic management.
2. Location and protection of all existing services.
3. Excavation, trenching and/or pipe-bursting
4. Installation of DN355 SDR13.6 PN12.5 PE100 watermain pipework.
5. Sleeving DN250 SDR 13.6 PN12.5 PE100 into existing DN300 AC / PVC watermain.
6. Installation of valves, fittings, and hydrants as per TDC Standard Drawings.
7. Construction of thrust and anchor blocks as detailed in Drawings.
8. Backfilling and compacting with specified materials.
9. Testing, commissioning, and connection to existing networks.
10. Final site reinstatement including surfaces and landscape areas.
