Registrations of Interest (ROI) are invited from Architectural Designers interested in being short-listed as prospective tenderers for development of a concept design for the redevelopment of the Strathallan Corner in Timaru.

Strathallan Corner is widely regarded as the centre of the Timaru Inner City, a key juncture, intersection and gateway where connectivity between the sea, shops and suburbs are realised.
The CityTown Masterplan has identified Strathallan Corner as a key catalyst for inner city revitalisation and rejuvenation and the Long-Term Plan 2024 – 34
This investment responds to feedback and market research data such as the TDC City Hub Resident’s Perception Survey2, Beca City Hub Stakeholder Summary Report3, Strathallan Corner Post-Trial Report4, inner city stakeholders, urban design workshops, and the arts and creative sector outlining concerns with the present layout and a desire to unlock the site’s potential for performance and gathering space.
