The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) intends to commence a procurement process for the supply of bibliometric data, metrics, and associated services to support the design and delivery of the Tertiary Research Excellence Fund (TREF). The TREF is a new bulk fund that is designed to support research excellence, strengthen research capability, and encourage research that delivers economic and social benefits for New Zealand.
The objective of this procurement is to identify a supplier that can provide a subscription to high-quality bibliometric information that represents good value for money, meets the TEC business requirements and applies transparent, consistent, and auditable methodologies.
TEC is seeking a solution that will provide field-weighted citation measure and policy impact data that can be applied consistently across eligible tertiary education organisations and withstand scrutiny as part of a public funding allocation process.
