Tauranga City Council intends to construct a 2700 metre DN500 polyethylene trunk watermain from Joyce Road to the proposed Kennedy Reservoir in Pyes Pa.

The new watermain will be connected to the two existing 375mm CLMS trunk mains that are supplied by the Joyce Road Water Treatment plant and will be installed along a kilometre section of Joyce Road, to Pyes Pa Road.

From there it will continue south past Kennedy Road to the boundary with The Lakes subdivision and be installed by directional drilling across the gully west of Pyes Pa Road to Stage 3 of The Lakes development.
