Overview

Tauranga City Council invites Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified contractors to provide early contractor involvement services (ECI services) (including progressive design) and a design consortium as a single entity in advance of a design and build contract for the Fifteenth Avenue to Welcome Bay Upgrade project. The following NZTA Prequalified Contractors (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A) are applicable to this procurement opportunity.

As well as reducing congestion, the Project aims to improve transport choice by providing improved walking and cycling facilities and help to improve social wellbeing and connectivity. More efficient movement of both people and goods also leads to improved productivity and economic growth for the city.

Tauranga City Council is looking for Respondents who will foster innovation and collaboration in devising and implementing appropriate strategies to best manage such disruption, whilst also ensuring cost control, cost efficiencies and overall proactive risk management. As part of this the Buyer wants Respondents who can provide clear evidence of implementing successful disruption management strategies, including in respect of stakeholder engagement and communication.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in and support the development of Tauranga, one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing cities by delivering this critical arterial upgrade project over the next 4-5 years. If you are looking to contribute to positive stakeholder engagement and community outcomes by fostering a collaborative approach between all parties, then we encourage you to register.
