This Request for Proposals (RFP) is your invitation to submit a Proposal to Tauranga City Council for this contract.

Tauranga City Council (TCC) and Western Bay of Plenty District Council (WBOPDC) hold a joint consent to take water from the Waiāri Stream for municipal water supply The Waiāri Water Supply Scheme is a key project for TCC, with the aim of building resilience into the water supply network and providing a safe and reliable supply of drinking water, for existing and future populations in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty.

With Waiāri Stage 1 now complete, stage 2 comprises of connecting the stage 1 trunk main to the Mangatawa Reservoir.

A high level route assessment has been undertaken with a preferred route identified. Initial conversations with utility owners has commenced with no upfront concerns raised
