Summary of this ROI:

Tauranga City Council invites Registrations of Interest for the above for which the works comprise:

Construction of a shared walking and cycling path, utilising a 3.5m minimum width for the entire length of the path. The project will be split into two stages:

Stage 1 approximately 3km in length, connecting Papamoa Domain to the Parton Road roundabout

Stage 2 approximately 0.8km in length, connecting the Parton Road roundabout to Taylor Reserve as shown in the draft Concept Plans attached.

The Project broadly includes the construction of:

A 3.5m wide gravel path. There may be an opportunity to upgrade the path material to either concrete or asphalt subject to funding.

The rest areas are denoted by timber decking along the alignment.

Activity hub areas in the existing reserve spaces denoted by a 3.5m wide concrete path, with ancillary structures such as new seating and rubbish bins. There is the potential for new ancillary buildings/structures including toilet block(s) and showers, drinking fountains, barbecues and play items (results from community feedback and funding to inform final ancillary elements and quantities to be included).

May include dune planting enhancement and maintenance for a 12-month period.

Tree planting for shade provision and amenity along the route.
