The purpose of this Advance Notice is to inform suppliers of upcoming / release of Tender for phase 2 of the Papamoa East Interchange.

This is a single stage process.

The Papamoa Eastern Interchange (PEI) is intended to directly service the proposed new Golden Sands Town Centre, by connecting it with the Tauranga Eastern Link (TEL). The PEI will be located at the eastern boundary of the Wairakei urban growth area (Wairakei). The project has three separate contract delivery phases.

The Phase 2 project includes:

• The construction of the Te Okuroa and Sands Ave signalised intersection
• The construction of the Te Okuroa Dr 4 lanes continuation (west) to intersection
• The works includes shared bi-directional cycleway, footpaths, traffic islands/refuges, landscaping, street lighting, traffic signals and utilities.
• Trunk water main
• Stormwater reticulation and culverts discharging to existing pond
• Wastewater trunk main
• CCTV cameras and associated fibre cable/ducting for TTOC
