Tauranga city Council is planning to construct a new bioreactor at its Te Maunga Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Design is in the detailed design phase.
Ground conditions are poor and prone to liquefaction. The groundwater table is high. The ground improvement design is based on a lattice cell grid to a depth 7m below the underside of the bioreactor. The ground improvement works will be within 9m of an adjacent existing bioreactor.
The ground improvement works will be implemented as a standalone contract. This RFI is for the ground improvement works.
