Tauranga City Council invites tenders for this contract for which the works comprise the extension of Te Okuroa Drive, including the construction of two roundabouts to the Palm Springs and Golden Sands developments. The works commence at the intersection with The Boulevard and finish immediately after the intersection with Livingstone Drive. The project comprises earthworks and road construction, including the construction of stormwater, water and wastewater services and utility services.

The cross section of Te Okuroa Drive is a two lane two way road with flush median, cycle lanes and roadside parking. Street trees will be planted along the roadside parking.

The Te Okuroa Drive Stage D construction contract scope includes, but is not limited to:

1640m of two lane roadway, two roundabouts and local road connections;

Construction of a 300mm Bulk Watermain with supporting ridermain and connections for future developments;

Construction of a stormwater reticulation network including two box culverts crossing under Te Okuroa Drive;

Construction of wastewater gravity lines with future connection to the surrounding developments;

Street lighting and traffic services;

Multiple underground utilities within common services trenches
