Tauranga City Council invites Expressions of Interest for this contract for which the services comprise an appointment a Development Partner or consortia that will invest in Tauranga City’s Heart of the City initiative - www.tauranga.govt.nz/heartofthecity
Heart of the City is a key strategic programme, working in partnership with the private sector, to create a vibrant, safe and successful city centre. To initiate this programme, TCC seeks a long term partner who will work with Council to explore innovative commercial and urban development solutions that will successfully deliver the Heart of the City objectives. The immediate focus of this EOI is the development of a Civic Administration Building (providing a modern workplace for Council staff), open civic space and a CBD Hotel and Conference Centre on adjoining TCC land. In addition, TCC wishes to explore other development opportunities within the Heart of the City precinct including a new public library, museum and performance venue.
